How To: Create an Entry Point

Set up service points like tables, rooms, or counters where customers can scan QR codes to place orders.

Introduction

Entry points help you organize where orders come from. Depending on your business type, these might be:

  • Restaurants/Cafes: Tables (e.g., "Table 5", "Patio Table 12")

  • Hotels: Check-in desks or room numbers (e.g., "Room 201", "Front Desk")

  • Retail: Sales counters or departments (e.g., "Checkout 1", "Electronics Counter")

Each entry point gets a unique QR code that customers scan to place orders.

Prerequisites

  • You must have at least one venue created

  • You must be logged in with an Owner or Manager role

  • Know the entry point details you want to create (name, area, capacity)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Navigate to the Entry Points Page

  • Click the Entry Points link in the left sidebar navigation menu (it may show as "Tables," "Service Points," or similar, depending on your business type). [Screenshot: Left sidebar with Entry Points menu item highlighted]
