Update Order Status
As orders progress through your workflow, you need to update their status to keep customers informed.
Change Order Status
In the Update section on the right side:
Find the Order Status dropdown. [Screenshot: Order Status dropdown]
Click the dropdown and select the new status:
Pending: Order received, waiting to start
Processing: Currently being prepared
Ready: Completed and ready for pickup/delivery
Completed: Order has been delivered/picked up
Cancelled: Order was cancelled [Screenshot: Order status dropdown expanded]

You cannot change the status of orders that are already "Completed" or "Failed."
Update Payment Method (If Needed)
If you need to change how the customer paid:
Find the Payment Type dropdown in the Update section. [Screenshot: Payment Type dropdown]
Select the correct payment method.
You can only update payment methods for orders that haven't been completed yet.
Save Changes
Click the Update Order button at the bottom right of the panel. [Screenshot: Update Order button highlighted]
You'll see a success notification: "Order Updated Successfully!" [Screenshot: Success notification]

Cancel an Order (If Needed)
If an order needs to be cancelled:
In the order details panel, click the Cancel Order button (bottom left). [Screenshot: Cancel Order button]
A confirmation dialog appears warning that this action cannot be reversed. [Screenshot: Cancellation confirmation dialog]
Click Yes, cancel Order #[Number] to confirm. [Screenshot: Confirmation button in dialog]
The order status changes to "Cancelled" and payment status to "Failed." [Screenshot: Cancelled order]
Cancelled orders cannot be reactivated. Only cancel orders that truly need to be voided.
