Editing an item
This allows you to modify any detail about an existing item, including its name, description, price, image, and availability status. All changes take effect immediately and are visible to customers right away. Editing is perfect for keeping your catalog up-to-date without losing order history or item performance data.
Item preview
When editing an item, you'll see the current image displayed. You can click on it to upload a new image, replacing the old one while keeping all other item details intact.
Price updates
You can change an item's price at any time. The new price applies to all future orders immediately. Past orders keep their original prices, so historical records remain accurate. If your venue has tax-inclusive pricing, you'll see a helpful breakdown showing the base price and tax components.
Availability toggle
This on/off switch controls whether customers can see and order an item. Toggling availability off is different from deleting - it temporarily hides the item while preserving all its information for when you're ready to offer it again.
Removing an item
Permanently deleting an item removes it from your catalog entirely. This action requires confirmation to prevent accidental deletions. Once deleted, the item and its details cannot be recovered, though any historical orders containing that item remain in your records.
Delete confirmation
To protect against accidental deletion, you must type "delete" and check a confirmation box before permanently removing an item. This two-step process ensures you really intend to delete the item.

What's the difference between turning off availability and deleting an item?
Turning off availability temporarily hides an item from customers while keeping all its information in your system. This is perfect for items that are temporarily out of stock or seasonal offerings you'll bring back later. Deleting permanently removes the item and all its details. If you're unsure, always choose to turn off availability rather than delete.
Can I undo a deletion?
No, once you confirm deletion, the item is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. If you delete an item by mistake, you'll need to create it again from scratch with all its details. This is why we recommend using the availability toggle for temporary removals.
Will changing a price affect previous orders?
No, price changes only affect new orders going forward. All previous orders keep the prices that were active when customers placed them. This ensures your financial records and customer receipts remain accurate and unchanged.
Can I edit multiple items at once?
Currently, you need to edit items one at a time. This ensures accuracy and gives you a chance to review each item's details carefully. While it takes a bit longer for bulk updates, it prevents accidental changes to the wrong items.
Do I need to update the image every time I edit an item?
No, the image only changes if you specifically upload a new one. When editing, you can modify the name, description, price, or availability without touching the image. The current image remains until you explicitly replace it with a new upload.
