Key concepts
Receipt Link: Every completed order automatically gets a unique web link that displays the full receipt. Anyone with this link can view the receipt in their web browser — no login required. The link is permanent, so customers can access it months later if needed.
Email Receipt: Sends a professionally formatted email to the customer containing their order summary and a link to view the full receipt. The email includes your venue name, logo, order number, and total amount paid.
SMS Receipt: Sends a text message to the customer's phone with order details and a shortened link to view the complete receipt. This is perfect for customers who prefer texts or don't check email regularly.
Print Receipt: Opens a printer-friendly version of the receipt formatted like a traditional paper receipt. This works great for customers who need physical copies or when regulations require printed receipts.
Guest Customer Limitation: For walk-in orders where you used the "Guest Customer" option, receipt sharing is limited because there's no real email or phone number on file. You can still view and print these receipts from the dashboard.
Common questions
How do I share a receipt with a customer?
Open the completed order by clicking on it in your orders list. You'll see a "Print | Send Receipt" button at the top of the order details. Click it to open the receipt page, where you'll find buttons to send via email, send via SMS, or print. Choose the method that works best for your customer.
What if the customer provides the wrong email or phone number?
If sending fails or the customer reports not receiving the receipt, you can resend it anytime by opening the order again. You might also copy the receipt link from your browser and share it through another channel like instant messaging or social media.
Can customers access their receipt later?
Yes! The receipt link never expires. Customers can bookmark it, save the email, or keep the text message to access their receipt whenever needed. This is especially helpful for warranty purposes or business expense tracking.
What information appears on the receipt?
The receipt includes your business name and contact details, the order number, date and time, customer information, itemized list of products with prices, subtotal, taxes, service fees, total amount, payment method and status, and who served the customer. It's a complete transaction record.
