Viewing and Managing Orders
What this feature does
The Orders page gives you a live view of all incoming customer requests at your business. You can see each order as it arrives, check what customers have ordered, and update the order status as you prepare, serve, and complete each transaction. Think of it as your digital command center where every customer request flows through and gets tracked from start to finish.
Who it is for
This feature is perfect for:
Restaurant managers tracking table orders throughout the day
Hotel front desk staff managing room service requests

Kitchen staff who need to see what needs to be prepared next
Any team member responsible for fulfilling customer requests
When to use it
You'll use this feature constantly throughout your business day:
When a new customer places an order and you need to see what they've requested
As you prepare items and need to update the order from "pending" to "processing"
When orders are ready and need to be marked for delivery or pickup
To check on past orders and see what was served to specific customers
When you need to review how many orders came through during a busy period
Key concepts
Order Status Each order moves through different stages as you work on it. An order starts as "pending" when it first arrives, becomes "processing" when you're working on it, changes to "ready" when it's prepared, and finally marks as "completed" when the customer receives it.
Order Card Each order appears as a card showing the customer's name, order number, what they ordered, the total amount, and current status. You can tap any card to see full details and make updates.
Real-time Updates Orders appear automatically as customers place them - you don't need to refresh the page. The system updates instantly so you never miss a new request.
Order Filters At the top of the page, you'll see buttons for "All", "Pending", "Processing", and "Completed". These help you focus on specific types of orders. For example, click "Pending" to see only new orders that need attention.
Order Details Sheet When you click on any order card, a detailed view slides in from the right showing everything about that order - customer information, items ordered, pricing breakdown, payment status, and options to update the order.
Common questions
How do I know when a new order comes in?
New orders appear automatically at the top of your orders list as customers place them. You don't need to refresh or reload the page - the system updates in real-time. Orders are sorted with the newest ones first when viewing pending orders.
What's the difference between "processing" and "ready" status?
"Processing" means you're currently working on the order - perhaps cooking the food or preparing items. "Ready" means everything is prepared and waiting for the customer to pick up or for delivery. Change the status to "ready" when you've finished preparing the order.
Can I see old completed orders?
Yes! Click the "Completed" filter at the top of the page to view all finished orders. These are sorted with the most recent completions first. You can search through them by order number or customer name if you need to find a specific past order.
What if I need to cancel an order?
Open the order details by clicking on the order card. At the bottom of the details sheet, you'll find a "Cancel Order" button. This changes the order status to "cancelled" and marks the payment as failed. Remember, this action cannot be reversed, so make sure you really need to cancel before confirming.
