Venue & Sales Reports

What this feature does

The Venue & Sales Reports feature gives you a complete overview of your business's financial performance over any time period you choose. You can see your total revenue, how much you've earned after service fees, which payment methods customers prefer, and how your sales trend over time. Think of it as your business's financial health dashboard—everything you need to understand how well your venue is performing, all in one place.

Who it is for

This feature is designed for business owners and managers who need to track revenue, monitor financial trends, and make informed decisions about their operations. Whether you're reviewing yesterday's sales, preparing for a monthly meeting, or planning your budget for the next quarter, this report helps you understand the complete financial picture of your venue.

When to use it

You should check your Venue & Sales Reports regularly to stay on top of your business performance. Use it at the end of each day to see how much you earned, review it weekly to spot trends in customer payments, check it monthly to prepare financial summaries, or analyze it quarterly to make strategic decisions about pricing, promotions, or expansion. It's also helpful when you need to share financial reports with investors, partners, or your accountant.

Key concepts

Total Revenue: This is all the money your venue has collected from completed orders during your selected time period. It includes both online and offline payments, and represents the full amount customers paid for your products or services.

Venue Earnings: This is what your business actually takes home after Servinn's service fees are deducted. It shows your net revenue—the amount that goes into your business account.

Servinn Fees: A small percentage of each transaction that covers the cost of using the Servinn platform, including payment processing, technology infrastructure, and support services. The current rate is clearly displayed in your report.

Payment Channels: This shows how customers are paying for their orders—either online through digital payment platforms or offline through cash and other methods. Understanding this breakdown helps you plan for cash handling and reconcile digital payments.

Revenue Trend Chart: A visual graph that shows how your sales fluctuate over time. This helps you identify busy periods, slow days, and seasonal patterns in your business.

Completed Orders: Only orders that customers have fully paid for and that you've marked as completed count toward your revenue totals. Pending or cancelled orders don't appear in these reports.

Common questions

chevron-rightWhy don't my report numbers match what I see on my dashboard?hashtag

Your dashboard shows real-time data including pending orders, while your Venue & Sales Reports only include completed orders with successful payments. Also, make sure you're comparing the same date range—the default report shows the last 7 days, but your dashboard might show today's numbers or a different period.

chevron-rightCan I see reports for a specific day or custom date range?hashtag

Yes! At the top of the Reports page, you'll find date filters that let you select any start and end date you want. You can view a single day's performance, compare weekends to weekdays, or analyze an entire month or quarter. Simply click on the date selector and choose your desired time period.

chevron-rightWhat counts as an "online" versus "offline" payment?hashtag

Online payments are transactions processed through digital payment platforms where customers pay using cards, mobile money, or other electronic methods. Offline payments are marked when staff indicate that payment was received through cash or other non-digital methods that aren't processed through the system.

chevron-rightWhy do I see a service fee deducted from my revenue?hashtag

Servinn charges a small service fee to maintain the platform, handle payment processing, provide customer support, and continuously improve your dashboard experience. This fee is automatically calculated and clearly shown in your report so you always know exactly what you're earning versus what goes to platform costs.

chevron-rightHow often is the report data updated?hashtag

Your report updates immediately whenever an order is completed and payment is confirmed. If you're viewing the report and complete a new order, you can refresh the page to see the updated numbers. This means you always have access to your most current sales information, though it may take a few moments for very recent orders to process and appear.
